2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
Melt together butter and chocolate and remove from heat.
Stir in sugar.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Quickly stir in remaining ingredients.
Spread batter in a well greased 8 X 8-inch square baking pan.
Bake in a preheated oven at 325°F for 40-45 min.
Cool. Cut into 12 large squares.
These are great plain, dusted with powdered sugar or topped with a good quality vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce.
